2017 4th Annual Kidney Patient Summit Twitter Campaign

On March 7th, 150 advocates for the National Kidney Foundation, Alport Syndrome Foundation, American Association of Kidney Patients, Home Dialyzors United, Nephcure Kidney International, and Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation will meet with their Representatives and Senators in Washington, DC to bring chronic kidney disease (CKD) to the forefront of health care policy discussion in DC.

Please take a moment to support them by tweeting your legislators with a picture of yourself and a message about kidney disease, such as the below examples:

  • I have been waiting 5 years for a lifesaving kidney transplant.
  • My daughter has missed 75 days of school this year because she’s on dialysis.
  • I will be on medication for the rest of my life because of kidney disease.
  • I developed kidney failure because I was diagnosed with kidney disease too late.
  • I developed kidney failure because I was diagnosed with kidney disease too late.
  • Over 660,000 Americans have irreversible kidney disease.
  • Over 100,000 Americans are waiting for a kidney transplant.
  • Over 5,600 of Americans received a kidney transplant from a living donor in 2015.
